Protecting your teeth is crucial, whether you’re an athlete or someone who grinds their teeth at night. We specialise in creating custom mouthguards tailored to fit your unique dental needs. Made from durable silicone material, these mouthguards are designed to shield your teeth from damage during sports activities or against the harmful effects of teeth grinding.

What are mouthguards?

Mouthguards are protective devices for the mouth that cover the teeth and gums to prevent and reduce injury to the teeth, arches, lips, and gums.

They are an essential dental device for anyone in contact sports or grinding their teeth at night.

What types of mouthguards do you offer?

We provide two types of mouthguards:

  • Sports Mouthguards: Custom-made for athletes of all ages, these mouthguards are essential for protecting your teeth during contact sports like rugby or hockey. They help cushion a blow to the face, minimising the risk of broken teeth and injuries to your lips, tongue, face and jaw.
  • Night Mouthguards: A night guard is a lifesaver for those who suffer from bruxism or nighttime teeth grinding. It prevents the upper and lower teeth from coming into contact, reducing pain, enamel wear, and the risk of tooth fractures and chipped fillings.

How are custom mouthguards made?

We start by taking an accurate impression of your teeth, which is used as a mould for the mouthguard. Based on your dental impression, The mouthguard is fabricated from thick, high-quality silicone material.

Once the mouthguard is ready, we’ll have a fitting session to ensure it’s comfortable and provides adequate protection.

How do I care for my mouthguard?

Proper care extends the lifespan of your mouthguard.

  • Always rinse your mouthguard with water after use. Occasionally, clean it with mild soap and a toothbrush.
  • After cleaning, allow it to dry completely and store it in a ventilated case.
  • Keep your mouthguard away from high temperatures, like hot water or direct sunlight, to prevent warping.
  • Bring your mouthguard to your dental check-ups to ensure it’s still in good condition.
